InjuriesBoard.ie is the independent government body which assesses the amount of
compensation due to a person who has suffered a personal injury.
Legal Aid Board
The Board is responsible for the provision of legal aid and advice on matters of
civil law to persons unable to fund such services from their own resources.
The Legal Aid Board does not provide legal aid in criminal matters
Money Advice and Budgeting Service
MABS is a national, free, confidential and independent service for
people in debt or in danger of getting into debt
Law Society of Ireland
The Law Society is the professional body for solicitors and exercises statutory
functions under the Solicitors Acts 1954 to 2008 in relation to the education,
admission, enrolment, discipline and regulation of the solicitors’ profession.
The Private Residential Tenancies BoarD(PRTB)
The PRTB was established in September 2004 to operate a national tenancy registration
system and to resolve disputes between landlords and tenants. As part of its remit, the
PRTB also provides policy advice to the Government on the private rented sector.
The PRTB dispute resolution service replaces the courts in relation
to the majority of landlord and tenant disputes.
